We’re proud to share that WirtschaftsWoche has named willowprint its Start-up of the Week.

In the article, journalist Dominik Reintjes tells the story behind our work: a biodegradable, wood-fibre material made for robotic 3D printing. Today we use it to make furniture. Next, we want to print a house that can be composted at the end of its life.

That goal is easy to say and hard to do, and that’s exactly why we started. Construction produces more waste and emissions than almost any other industry. We believe the buildings of the future should come from materials that grow back and can return to the earth.

Thank you to Dominik Reintjes and the WirtschaftsWoche team for telling our story, and to Max Sloboda for the photos.
